Happy Birthday! I actually have an antique Victorian era box (supposedly Italian) - with a miniature which is said to be Marie Antoinette. What the dealer thinks is that the snuff box was created to house the miniature. It is beautiful and certainly looks like her. I've had an affinity with Marie since I was a teenager and did a paper on her. It's so nice to meet a kindred spirit!
